M. A. Sattar Dulal

Mohammed Abdus Sattar Dulal established BPKS in response to the discrimination he saw happening to people with disabilities. Sattar had seen people with disabilities, including himself, being discriminated against and their abilities being ignored, to the detriment of all society. Sattar is a person with a disability, having fallen from a tree when he was 15 years old. He is determined not only to overcome his disability, but to inspire other disabled people to lead fulfilling lives.

Sattar established BPKS as a self help organization that would increase the strength of people with disabilities through the formation and development of local Disabled Peoples’ Organizations and the establishment of a national platform from which PWDs can speak and be heard.

Sattar Dulal remains at the helm of BPKS as its Executive Director.
